On the second day of the Mana Lomi® workshop my back "gave out". This experience offered me the opportunity to discover, with the help of Kumu Barbara and Kumu Maka'ala, a more centralized location from which to work - one that allowed for a deeper sense of presence and offered encouragement to occupy more of my body.
Over the remainder of the second and third days I gained more confidence in finding and being in that place more regularly. Lomi lomi is a gift for which I am grateful. I am grateful for the guidance from both Kumu Maka'ala and Kumu Barbara.
