#1 What is
lomilomi?
Lomilomi, sometimes called "lomi lomi" or simply "lomi", is the
bodywork component of traditional Hawaiian healing arts. It has been
used in the Hawaiian islands for centuries. Over time, when social and
political situations in Hawaii prevented lomi from being openly
practiced, Hawaiian families privately kept it alive. Being thus
maintained underground, diverse lomi lomi styles developed within
individual families who each preserved what they found relevant. As a
result, lomilomi today can be very different, depending on who is doing
it. There is no one “right” way to do lomilomi;
rather there are many
approaches and techniques used by different lomi practitioners.

Healing Arts & Practice
... Hawaiian healers – whether they specialized in lomi lomi,
herbal
healing, cleansing, ho’oponopono or the other healing
therapies –
traditionally were an integral part of the community and were not
business entities....
...when a person was sick or injured, treatment involved using many
healing therapies. A full family ho’oponopono session was
frequently
the initial step in treatment. This might be followed with colon
cleansing and fasting, herbal healing, lomilomi bodywork which included
both massage affecting the soft tissue and organs as well as joint
mobilization, and more. Use of prayer in several forms was woven
through out all healing work.

#3 The
Ideal Natural Colon Cleanse, the Hawaiian Way
... Natural colon cleaning helps us keep our channels of elimination
open and cleansed so they can perform their vital functions. The
preventative practice of natural colon cleansing has existed for
thousands of years, and has played a central role in the lives of
millions of people worldwide. From an indigenous Hawaiian point of
view, cleansing the body of built up toxins promotes health and
prevents degenerative disease.

The Story of Haloa - A Hawaiian

Whether whispered or shouted, the name Haloa tells a story of
connection between all Hawaiians, a story of connection between people
and nature. As Hawaiians we are one with Haloa, we are one with kalo

# 8 Love the BodyPart 1: Spirit, Nature & Prayer in
Lomi Lomi
Being aware of my relationship with both Spirit and nature makes me
feel alive. Feeling fresh air on my face makes me feel alive. Moving
makes me feel alive. Dancing makes me feel alive. I feel most alive and
particularly connected with Spirit when I am outdoors. When I pray I
feel alive and of course when I connect with people via lomilomi I feel
alive!

# 12a Ho'oponopono part 1 - What is Ho'oponopono?
....
Practicing
ho'oponopono is a vital part of my lomilomi training
which helps me to develop peace, ease and health in my own body, mind and spirit
and thereby clears the way for me to be an open healing channel when I share
lomilomi with others. Every lomilomi teacher I've studied with over the years
has integrated
ho'oponopono teachings into the lomilomi classes they
teach.

# 12c Ho'oponopono part 3 - Traditional Family Style Ho'oponopono
...... Traditionally in Hawaii when a person was ill or injured and
the family sought the help of a healer, the first step in the
healing process was to hold a ceremonial, prayful, family
hooponopono session led by a respected family elder. Some
hooponopono sessions were done quickly and others may have gone on
for days. read more
# 12d Ho'oponopono part 4 - Contemporary Ho'oponopono ~ Cutting Cords & Transmuting Energy
...... In the 1970s native Hawaiian healer and lomilomi
practitioner Mornah Simeona created a potent
hooponopono process which is done individually. She combined
Hawaiian traditions, praying to the Divine Creator, and connecting problems with
reincarnation and karma to create a unique self-help problem solving hooponopono
process. She was
influenced by her Christian education and her philosophical studies about
India, China
and Edgar Cayce. read more
# 12e Ho'oponopono part 5 - On Being Hawaiian...... There are two ways of being 'Hawaiian'.
Both ways are based upon 'reality by agreement' --
not natural reality. The first way is because of
being born with Hawaiian blood. The second way a person is
Hawaiian is by practicing the following hooponopono code of being and
doing. read more
